Scene it, Scene it, Scene it!

Movie remakes are everywhere. I do find it increasingly difficult to admire many of the new releases these days due to them being movies that i have already seen 20 years ago.
Is it a lack of imagination from the writers in Hollywood? I'll go straight to my favourite genre to prove this point, horror. Psycho was remade, shot for shot, word for word 10 years ago. But why would anybody even attempt to go there with such a classic, directed by one of the best in the business? Friday the 13th is another. Bring out a sequal for a hundreth time or just leave it be, just dont remake it! A Nightmare On Elm Street is next. I would prefer to see the strings attached to the lass as she is attacked by Freddy on the ceiling of her bedroom, rather than the effects, as good as they are, that are in the remake.
Money Spinners
They keep doing it, of course, because of their cult status. I watch the remakes because i love the genre and they know that i'll keep coming back for more. They dont need years of planning a great script because the old ones are already there and they are proven winners. So i dont blame them. Still, i need something fresh every now and again. I need to sign off now, as Liverpool are about to kick off against Athletico Madrid. I think, to win this one, remaking a Liverpool team from 20 years ago is their only hope!
